NBC Sports coverage of 2024 NFL Season kickoff has three primetime games for Week 1

With Mike Tirico, Cris Collingsworth, Todd Blackledge, & Rob Hyland on the conference call this afternoon an introduction to the NFL 2024-2025 season was highlighted by NBC Sports platforms covering three primetime games for Week 1.  The NFL season kicks off on Thursday, September 5th streaming on Peacock and NBC between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. 

The two teams will have an AFC Championship Rematch, but the game will be in Kansas City, MO.  A Special Friday Night Game live from Sao Paulo will feature the Green Bay Packers facing the Philadelphia Eagles.  The game will be featured exclusively on Peacock on September 6th.  NBC Universal will cap off Week 1 of the NFL coverage on Sunday Night Football on September 8th when the Los Angeles Rams face the Detroit Lions on NBC and streaming on Peacock.  The two teams will engage in a rematch from the NFC Wild Card Playoff last season.
