Naomi Osaka survives Marta Kostyuk in third set to advance to the next round in the US Open

New York- In the third set, Naomi Osaka defeats Marta Kostyuk 6-3, 6-7, and 6-2 to move forward in the fourth round in the US Open.

In the first set, Naomi did pretty well with making the Kostyuk move to her pace. Naomi hit some amazing forehand shots that seemed to frustrate Kostyuk, however in the second set, Naomi seemed tired and missed chances to break Kostyuk. Kostyuk took the opportunity to take advantage of Naomi's mistakes and break the game to put her up 4-3 in the second set.Kostyuk took the lead and never looked back in the second set. In the third and final set, Naomi took tied the game up 2-2 with a beautiful drop shot. After that dropped shot landed, it seemed to boost Naomi's confidence, as she dominated the set 7-2 to advance to the next round.

Naomi will face either No.24 seed Magda Linette or No.14 seed Anett Kontaveit in the next round.
