Mindy Kaling honored with a Walk of Fame star

Actress and comedian Mindy Kaling was honored on Tuesday with her own star on the Walk of Fame. “This is one of those moments where I’m reminding myself to be present,” Kaling quipped during her acceptance speech. “I’m so happy—I love recognition.”

BJ Novak had so many great things to say about Kaling, but he admired her strength and integrity in her journey. Outside of the reception, Kaling's children surprised her with a poster that read that they are proud of her.
