Mike Evans breaks history as the Bucs punch their ticket to the playoffs

With the NFC South crown up for grabs, Tampa Bay needed to win and have the Falcons lose to be crowned the Champions and have a spot in the playoffs.

Baker Mayfield went wild in the second half, overcoming a 16-3 deficit and put his team in position for the crown. Mayfield threw two touchdowns as both the Bucs and the Falcons were clocking each other games. Mike Evans exploded in the later part of the half, catching seven balls for 55-yards, which helped the Bucs score on back-to-back possessions. He finished the game with 9 receptions for 89 yards and Mayfield finished 21 of 32 for 221 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 pick.

While Tampa Bay was up eight with under a minute left in regulation, the Falcons were tied with the Carolina Panthers. However, the Bucs not only took care of business as they finished the game with their defense picking off the Saints (27-19), but Evans made history becoming the first player to reach 1,000 yards in his first 11 season.
