Mets shocks Phillies 6-2
Who would have ever thought the Mets would be in the MLB playoffs and would shock the streaky Phillies in the first match-up of their series?
For the most part, defense played a huge part in this game until the eighth inning. New York got the party start with scoring five runs to take a commanding lead and Brandon Nimmo finished the game with a single to right field, which brought in Harrison Bader for the score.
If you are a Mets' fan, you have to be feeling good that the Mets sent a statement to the Phillies in game 1. It will be interesting to see if this group could shock the world and knock off the Phillies.
