Mercury gets a win against the Sky to open up their second half of the season
After having three weeks off, the Phoenix Mercury played the Chicago Sky as the second half of the season re-started.
Kahleah Copper and Brittney Griner was scoring at will in the first quarter and combined for 20 points. Phoenix seemed like they were hitting everything, while the Chicago looked like they were just waking up from a long sleep. The rest of the first half was the Mercury putting the Sky on their grills and roasting them from behind the arc. Phoenix was shooting around 55% from rainbow land and finished the half with a huge lead 50-28.
For the most part, the Mercury cruised in the second half and went onto win 85-65. Griner finished with 23 and Copper had a 29-point night.
