Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will be honored at the 48th annual Gracie Awards
The 48th annual Gracie Awards will take place on May 23 at the Beverly Wilshire, in Los Angeles California. The Gracies recognize outstanding programming and individual achievement created by women, for women, and about women in all facets of media in news and entertainment. The Gracie Awards is the largest fundraiser of the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation which advances women in media through educational programs and scholarships. The Gracie Awards honors exemplary programming and individual talent created by, for and about women.
The Gracie award ceremony will honor Christina Applegate, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Ava DuVernay, Faith Hill, Amanda Seyfried, Danielle Monaro, Shelley Wade, Abbott Elementary, TODAY, The Drew Barrymore Show, 48 Hours and frontline journalists.
The First Lady will be honored with the Grand Award. Women directors will be honored with in show tribute that showcases how women are important in putting together the stories we see on screen. Local and student award winners will be honored on June 20 at Cipriani in New York City.
