Lupita Nyong’o to receive CINEMACON Star of Year Award
Lupita Nyong’o will receive this year’s CinemaCon Star of the Year Award that will be awarded at the official convention of NATO (National Association of Theatre Owners) on April 8-11, 2024 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Nyong’o will be presented with this reward specifically at the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony taking place Thursday, April 11, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Kenyan actress, producer and New York Times Bestselling author made her feature film debut in Academy Award winning film 12 Years a Slave for which she received the Academy Award, the Screen Actors Guild Award, and the Critics' Choice Award, including awards ranging from NAACP Image Award to a Tony nomination for her Broadway debut in Eclipsed, and an Emmy Award for her narration of New York Times best-selling children’s book Sulwe.
