The biggest trade in recent NBA history was brought back to life as Luka Doncic returned to Dallas for the first time since he was traded to the Lakers. After an emotional welcome from his former team, Luka went to work. Not only did Luka make a statement in the first half with 31 points, but he had the Dallas fans screaming for the Mavericks GM head. On the other side of the ball, Anthony Davis was quiet as a mouse. Davis was more on the passive side of scoring and have only four points, 2 assists, and 3 boards in the first half. Despite Luka's flare, the Lakers were only up three.
The second half for Luka was pretty much the same. It was either bullying the smaller defenders or just embarrassing the Mavs from rainbow land. You would think that the Lakers would be on the brink of blowing the game open, but Dallas was very competitive and went on a 10-6 run to cut La's lead to three with five minutes left in regulation. However, old man James went to work and scored three baskets to help his team in crunch time to get the 112-97 victory. Luka finished with 45 points
