Since LeBron James has been out with a groin injury, the Lakers had struggled to collect the shield of wins as their seeding dropped from second to now fifth. With the playoffs right around the corner and the Lakers desperately needing a win to gain confidence and build off that, Luka Doncic whipped up a winning potion.

Prior to the game, a lot of people felt like the Lakers had the edge against the Phoenix Suns because the Suns have not looked like a team that wants to win. They looked more like a team that lost their identity. Luka came out the gate with an aggressive mindset. He was hitting shots from each corner and at one point, exchanged some competitive word with Kevin Durant as he hit a three pointer in his face. Luka finished the game with 33 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists.

The good thing about this game was the Lakers did not have many turnovers in the 107-96 victory. They finished the game with only eight and held down the fort against Booker and KD. Booker finished with 19 and KD hit 21.
