LSU's trio back in action

Brandon Harley

This Saturday night, Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers will take the court in the NCAA Tournament with the No. 3 seed in the Spokane Region.  LSU Tigers will take the court against the No. 14 seed San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday at Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The contest will begin at 10:15 p.m. ET, on ESPN.

Flau'Jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow will also look to return to the court on Saturday night as they rehab lower-body injuries.   Mulkey assured the duo is "good to go" for the NCAA Tournament despite wearing walking boots on Selection Sunday.

Johnson hasn't played for the Tigers since the Feb. 27 loss to Alabama because of shin inflammation.  Flau'Jae averages 18.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Morrow has been sidelined since suffering a leg injury during Texas' loss in the SEC semifinals on March 8.  Morrow averages 18.5 points, 13.6 rebounds and 2.6 steals.

Their return is expected to significantly boost the team's performance, as both players are key contributors on the court. Johnson's scoring ability and playmaking skills will provide the Tigers with much-needed offensive firepower, while Morrow's presence in the paint ensures strong rebounding and defensive capabilities. With these two players back in action, LSU is poised to be a formidable opponent in the tournament.
