LSU's offense went to sleep in the second half, as Ole Miss shocked the world with a victory

At the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, it was Senior Day on Sunday. Aneesah Morrow, Shayeann Day-Wilson, Amani Bartlett and Last-Tear Poa were all recognized at halftime during Senior Day festivities. It was a day full of celebration and memories, but the scoreboard when the clock hit zero made the festivities seem long forgotten.
Ole Miss rallied from a 15-point deficit in the third quarter to stun No. 7 LSU 85-77 behind Tameiya Sadler's 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Starr Jacobs scored 17 points for the Rebels, Kirsten Dean scored 15 of her 16 points in the second half, including three 3-pointers, and Christie Iwuala scored 11.
Aneesah Morrow led the Tigers with 30 points and 12 rebounds. With that double-double, she became only the second player in NCAA history to reach that milestone, following Courtney Paris. Mikaylah Williams added 25 points and Kailyn Gilbert had 11.
Due to inflammation in her shin, LSU played without first team All-SEC guard Flau'Jae Johnson.
Her absence was keenly felt, as her defensive skills and scoring ability could have provided the Tigers with the edge, they needed to maintain their lead. Without Johnson, LSU struggled to contain Ole Miss's perimeter shooting, which was crucial in the Rebels' comeback. Additionally, her leadership on the court might have helped stabilize the team during Ole Miss's scoring runs.
