A 38-22 deficit at halftime was overcome by a 23-6 third-quarter surge for the Tigers.   In the fourth quarter, there were four lead changes before Williams hit a wide open 3-pointer with 50 seconds left to put the game away.  Mikaylah Williams scored 15 of her 24 points in the second half as No. 7 LSU rallied from 16 points down to beat No. 14 Kentucky 65-58 on Sunday. LSU leading scorer Flau’Jae Johnson was held to 13 points and 13 rebounds.

While Georgia Amoore led Kentucky with 16 points, she shot just 6 of 22 from the field, including 3 of 15 from beyond the arc.

As a result of the win, LSU coach Kim Mulkey had his 750th career victory, and the team received a top four seed in the Southeastern Conference Tournament as a result.

This milestone underscores Mulkey's exceptional coaching career and solidifies her status as one of the most successful coaches in women's college basketball history. Her leadership has consistently propelled her teams to victory, and this latest achievement is a testament to her strategic prowess and dedication to the sport. With this win, Mulkey continues to leave a lasting legacy, inspiring both her players and fans alike.
