LSU bounces back from loss

Brandon Harley

In Sunday's 64-51 victory over Texas A&M, Flau'Jae Johnson scored 22 points, including eight in the fourth quarter.

Aneesah Morrow added 19 points for the fatigued Tigers. LSU played its second game in 48 hours after losing to No. 2 South Carolina on Friday in a contest postponed from Thursday.  LSU opened the second quarter with a 15-2 run and never trailed again.   In the first four minutes of the fourth quarter, the Aggies made it a one-possession game but couldn't get back in front.

The Aggies were led by Taliyah Parker, who scored 14 points off the bench. Aicha Coulibaly and Sole Williams added 12 and 10 points.

LSU's defense was relentless, forcing numerous turnovers and limiting Texas A&M's scoring opportunities. The team also excelled in rebounding, which provided them with multiple second-chance points and helped maintain their lead. Overall, LSU's cohesive play and determination were key factors in securing their victory.

The quick turnaround meant the players had little time to rest and recover, which could have affected their performance and energy levels. Additionally, limited preparation time for strategies against Texas A&M added to the challenge. Despite these hurdles, LSU managed to stay focused and execute their game plan effectively.
