Lebron leaves Clipper's game with injury

The dominance of the Lakers is now in a bin of what used to be. The stepchild team in LA, which is, the Clippers have beaten the struggling Lakers nine consecutive times after last night's victory over them. Showtime Lakers started off slow and dug themselves out of a double-digit hole in the first half to make it a very competitive game. However, as soon as the climax was building in the second half, LeBron James and Father Time had a conversation. James happened to injury his groin area and would not finish the game. James finished the game with 30 points and 8 rebounds.

While his absence was noticed on the court, the Clippers decided to put the Lakers in a spin cycle and make them uncomfortable. Paul George and crew went on a 16-8 run in the last three minutes of regulation to put the game out of reach. George finished with 29 points and 6 rebounds. With another gripping loss and the same echoes of improving night in and night out, the Lakers have to find a string of wins before everyone starts pointing fingers at each other, asking why things are not going their way. The energy is there for the Lakers, but their lack of bench production is one of the factors that they have to improve. Russell Westbrook has improved coming off the bench, with the second unit, but he needs more weapons that can actually score.

With all of the heat on the Lakers, it will be interesting to see what they will do before the trade deadline to accumulate some type of offense and get back to playing Lakers' ball.
