Las Vegas Aces Clinches a Playoff Berth with a 80-63 victory of the New York Liberty

Bradenton, FL- Aja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces have clinched a playoff birth with a win over the New York Liberty.

Coming back from boycotting WNBA games because of Jacob Blake's shooting, the Aces took the court against a struggling New York Liberty team. Aja Wilson had a decent first half with a couple of blocks, steals, and finished the half with 10 points. Wilson was aggressive with getting to the post and allowing her speed to create easy shots for her. Kayla McBride started to get back into her rhythm, as she let the game come to her. McBride was not forcing up shots, nor turning the ball over in the first two quarters. She finished the half with 8 points. The Aces had a 39-35 lead at the end of the half.

In the third quarter, the Liberty scored 16 straight points to tie the game. The run started because Kiah Stokes got going and the Aces had trouble picking up the pick and roll action on the defensive end. Going into the fourth the Aces struggled to get any offense going. Wilson was held to five points in the third. In the fourth quarter, the Aces pulled away from the Liberty with going back to Wilson and letting the offense run through her. Las Vegas went on a 12-0 to push the lead to double digits and never looked back.

Wilson finished the game with 20 points and 7 rebounds. McBride finished the game with 10 points and 3 rebounds.
