Lakers steamroll past the Rockets 117-110
Los Angeles- The Lakers had six players in double figures in a victory over the Houston Rockets.
Collectively, the Lakers shot 50% from the field as team and finished shooting 48% from behind the arc. LeBron James and Dennis Schroder set the tone early for LA. Both players pushed the ball up the court and made it apparent that they were not going to settle for outside shots. They made their presence felt in the inside area, where they kept attacking the Rockets' bigs. James and Schroder combined for 40 points.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Lakers' built up a wall against James Harden and made him put the ball in other individuals' hands. Harden shot 5 of 16 from the field and 1 of 6 from behind the arc and finished with 16 points.
The Lakers' defense suffocated the Rockets' offense by playing great defense and not allowing spot up shooters to get into their groove and get hot. LA held PJ Tucker to zero points in 20 minutes of play.
Everything was clicking on both sides of the ball for the Lakers and you can see that their confidence is growing each and every game. The second unit is starting to come together and help out their starters when they need a break. They are looking like the team to beat each and every game. If they could stop turning the ball over, they would be a very complete team.
