Lakers' offense comes a bit too late in loss to Pistons 117-114

LeBron James in the last four games have put his crown back on his head and let the world know that "Father time" was not going to defeat him nor his goals for the season. Once again James put the Lakers' offense on his back, had a triple double, and finished the night with 28 points. Outside of the "king" scoring, Anthony Davis scored 19, and AR 15 clipped 12.

The thing that kept the Lakers within striking distance was their three-point shots, which was hitting inside the net at 47%. While their threes were clearing the net, their defense looked a bit of cone like as they attempted to stop Malik Beasley and Cade Cunningham, who exploded in the fourth quarter. Both players had some big shots down the stretch and had the Lakers a loss before they celebrated Christmas. They combined for 41 points.

There are some improvements with the Lakers and their offense, but it's the inconsistency. LBJ puts the tam on his back a lot and at his age, he needs others to help him out on a consistent basis. Before the trade deadline, it will be interesting to see if the Lakers will make a splash in trade talks and make a move before the deadline.
