Lakers holds off Utah
Anthony Davis had another MVP night in a 105-104 victory win, scoring 33 points in 11 rebounds.
Once again, the Lakers find a way to win another close game. Utah had one gasp of breath to take the lead. With under 20 seconds left in regulation, Utah had one timeout and needed a bucket to break the Lakes' heart. The Jazz got a switch on AD and scored a potential game-winning bucket, but their head coach called timeout, because he did not like the play. That timeout cost them, because they did not nail the basket, out of the time out.
Lakers' HC JJ. Reddick had this to say about the victory. “We really slowed things down in the second half and tried to get the matchup we wanted for LeBron to just handle in that pick-and-roll,” Redick said. “And truthfully, that was the best offense we were going to generate. So, whether we missed or made it, we just kept going to that. I thought we got some clean looks that could have given us a little bit more of a cushion. But I liked our execution offensively.”
