Kurt Cousins buns is on the hot seat
In a turnover-filled game, the Atlanta Falcons limited the Los Angeles Chargers to 17 points, you would assume the Falcons would win the game. As shaky as the offense has been recently, the idea that they would fail to score 17 points would have seemed outlandish on Sunday morning.
But they didn’t. They scored 13. A missed Younghoe Koo field goal early on shaken Atlanta’s faith in their kicker. However, that was not the primary reason Atlanta lost the game. That would be Kirk Cousins and ' passing game. The Falcons squandered a strong day on the ground from Bijan Robinson en route to a couple of tough drops, a lot of off-target Kirk Cousins throws, and a nightmarish four interceptions, including a pick-six that was the winning score for Los Angeles.
A total of 350 yards were gained by the Falcons compared to 187 by the Chargers. Justin Herbert threw for just 147 yards, and the Chargers were limited to 56 yards on the ground without top back J.K. Dobbins.
Cousins finished 24 of 39 for 245. Bijan Robinson carried it 26 times for 102 yards and a touchdown and caught six passes for another 33 yards. Robinson was once again the focal point of the offense and a rare bright spot.
