Kim Mulkey did not like the calls in game against Alabama

For the second game in a row, LSU fell into a double-digit first-half deficit on the road against a ranked opponent. In a win over No. 15 Kentucky on Sunday, the No. 7 Tigers erased a 16-point deficit. Despite overcoming a 13-point deficit, they couldn't beat No. 20 Alabama, which won the game 88-85 in overtime.
For LSU, Mikaylah Williams scored 22 points, Aneesah Morrow added 16, Sa'Myah Smith added 15, and Miracle Sheppard scored 10. Leading scorer Flau'Jae Johnson's streak of 37 games scoring in double figures ended. She finished with six points on 2-of-12 shooting.
Essence Cody finished with 17 points and five blocks, and she denied Mikaylah Williams' attempt to score with 4 seconds left in the extra period. Aaliyah Nye scored 28 points, Sarah Ashlee Barker added 21, and No. 20 Alabama survived both fouling out. Zaay Green, who scored 15 points, hit two free throws to seal it for the Crimson Tide.
On Thursday, officials called 39 fouls and paused the game several times to review certain plays. Coach Kim Mulkey said it was a "poorly officiated game," one that she said her team still could've won had it made more free throws, grabbed more rebounds or taken advantage of opportunities it found down the stretch.
