JAY-Z and Roc Nations appoints first black executive producer for Super Bowl Halftime Show
Seattle- Coming off the first Latino Super Halftime Show, Roc Nation wanted to implicate more diversity in future shows, so they hired Jesse Collins.
Jesse Collins has produced the Grammy Awards, Bet Hip Hop Awards, and and soul Train Awards. Collins is pretty exited to join the Roc Nation group to produce the Pepsi 2021 Halftime Show. “It is an honor to be a part of such an iconic show at such an important time in our history,” Collins said. “I am grateful to JAY-Z, Desiree Perez, the entire Roc Nation family and the NFL for granting me this opportunity.”
“Jesse Collins is innovative, creative and one of the only executive producers that speak fluent ‘artist vision,'” JAY-Z said in a press release. “He’s a true artist. Jesse’s insight and understanding create both extraordinary shows and true cultural moments. After working with Jesse for so many years, I look forward to all there is to come.”
Despite the pandemic, the festivities for Super Bowl 55 are still moving ahead with restrictions and adjustments so fans can feel safe and enjoy the Super Bowl. Super Bowl 55 will be in Tampa Bay on February 7.
