Jake Paul attempts to call out a new contender to fight
Jake Paul walked out of his fight with Anderson Silva on Saturday night with a unanimous decision. But Silva, a combat sports legend, looked like the more experienced fighter and took it to the child, but it still wasn’t enough in the judges' eyes. The biggest factor in the fight was the jab for Paul. He threw two hundred and fifteen jabs, which was one hundred and forty more than the "Spider". Paul landed 44 percent of his power punches, while Silva only landed 38 percent.
All of that being said, one of the biggest moments came in the 8th round. Paul and Silva got into an exchange and coming out of the exchange, the problem child managed to land a big right hand, dropping the MMA icon. That scored big for Paul and was a big deciding factor when it came to the scorecards. Paul and Silva had a very entertaining and highly competitive fight, to say the least, and nobody walked out of Saturday night disappointed in the fight, but more so in the result.
After the fight, Paul confronted Stocktons' Nate Diaz, telling him, quote, "Fight me Bitch."Earlier in the night, the Nick Diaz army was thrown out of the arena prior to the main event walkouts because of an altercation backstage with Team Paul. According to Ariel Helwani, "bottles were thrown and over 20 people were involved." There were some videos going around showing Diaz slapping someone associated with Team Paul and the security kicking them out of the arena. There were also some rumors saying they weren’t kicked out and they ended up being put in a suite for the rest of the night.
All in all, it’s pretty clear who Jake Paul wants to fight next, but it is up to Diaz to accept the fight. If Diaz were to fight Paul, it would be the biggest money fight either Paul or Diaz has had to date. How do you guys think this Diaz/Paul fight will turn out and will it ever happen?
