Jagaurs' secondary was no match for the Dolphins' offense, as the Dolphins cruised to a 31-13 W
Jacksonville- Jaguars as a whole was not solid, as they suffer their second defeat of the season.
The Jaguars' secondary was getting hammered in the first half, as they had no answer with stopping the rushing attack of the Miami Dolphins. Two quick scores by the Dolphins put the the Jaguars in a two touchdown hole. However, running back James Robinson put the Jaguars on the board with a touchdown run to cut the Dolphins' lead to seven, 14-7. However the Dolphins came back and scored before half to make it 21-7.
There wasn't much bright spots for the Jaguars on prime time television in the second half. Gardner Minshew had an okay evening, but could not get the ball into the endzone. He had 250 yards through the air, had one interception, and ran for 22 years on the ground. The Jags finally scored late into the third with another running touchdown by Robinson. The Dolphins' defense shutdown a high power offense and made it look relatively easy.
After the game was over, Minshew spoke to members of the media on a virtual presser and had this to say about his team.“Yeah, there are times we get the ball moving, then something just kills the drive. There are things we’ve done in these three weeks that have been really good. There are things we’ve done that are kind of killing us. So we’re going to take this break to look back, evaluate, and move forward.”
The Jags will play the Bengals next week and Minshew and his team is looking forward to the challenge.
