Gamecocks and Clemson women's basketball preview

Palmetto State’s biggest women’s basketball rivalry continues Wednesday.  The Gamecocks will travel to the Upstate to face the Clemson Tigers in Littlejohn Coliseum. The 5:00 p.m. contest will be aired on ESPN2 and streamed on the ESPN app.

When the Gamecocks beat the Tigers 109-40 last season, junior point guard Raven Johnson had 6 points, 17 assists, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals. She will look for a repeat performance this year and keep ' win streak alive. 

For the Gamecocks, a victory would solidify their dominance in the state and boost their national ranking. Meanwhile, a win for the Clemson Tigers would not only enhance their reputation but also provide a morale boost to their team and fanbase. This matchup is crucial for both teams as it sets the tone for the rest of the season and adds to the storied history of their rivalry.
