Despite playing without All-America power forward Aneesah Morrow, the Tigers bounced back confidently from a loss last Sunday at No. 2 Texas with Mikaylah Williams scoring 12 points and Sa'Myah Smith scoring 11 and 12 rebounds. Wolfenbarger scored 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Kailyn Gilbert scored 15 points.

For Georgia, which lost its ninth game in a row, Trinity Turner scored 28 points, Mia Woolfolk scored 12 points, and Asia Avinger scored 10.

The turnovers played a crucial role in LSU's victory by providing them with additional scoring opportunities. By converting the 17 turnovers into 20 points, the Tigers capitalized on Georgia's mistakes to extend their lead and maintain control of the game. This efficient use of turnovers significantly contributed to their decisive win.

Despite Morrow's absence, LSU's performance demonstrated their depth and resilience as a team. The ability of players like Flau'Jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams to step up in crucial moments underlined their capability to adapt and succeed without their star player. This victory not only boosted team morale but also showcased LSU's potential to compete at a high level even when missing key contributors.
