Clemson fans came out in large numbers on Saturday to support their 2025 Tigers.  In what was a very electric environment for a spring game, Tiger fans of all ages cheered loudly, from newborn babies to aging adults.  The stadium was filled with excitement and energy as the crowd roared with every big play. Tailgaters outside added to the festive mood, creating a true celebration of college football spirit.

The team played very well on both sides of the defense forced a few turnovers and had a couple of sacks.   Offensively, the team has   playmaking all around QB Cade Klubnik but there was definitely one guy who stole the show.

Tristan Smith, a 6'5" WR from Southeast Missouri State, hauled in five catches for 137 yards and a touchdown.  He helped lead Clemson’s offense to a 33-15 win over the defense in Saturday’s Spring game.  It was clear that this young man was special as soon as I saw him warming up yesterday, but I don't think he knew he would have such a breakout performance yesterday.   As if he was a young Randy Moss, Smith scored on a 72-yard catch-and-run, high-pointing the ball near the sideline and sprinting away from the defenders.

He caught 76 passes for 934 yards and six touchdowns during his last season with Southeast Missouri State.

After yesterday's game, I feel like expectations   have   increased for the upcoming season.   The team's performance has raised the bar for what fans can expect in the upcoming season. With players like Tristan Smith stepping up, the team seems poised for a strong run. The spring game showcased not only individual talent but also the potential for cohesive teamwork and strategic plays.
