Eddie Murphy gets inducted in the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame
Los Angeles- Film icon, actor, and two time Image Award recipient Eddie Murphy will be crowned and inducted in the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame.
Murphy will be recognized and celebrated at the 2021 NAACP Image Awards for his legendary career as an actor. He started his career as a teen in comedy and branched out into film. Murphy has been in the industry for over 40 years and have made over 70 films that kept fans laughing and holding their stomach.
“We are honored to celebrate one of the most influential comedic geniuses in the entertainment industry and an individual who has inspired a generation of Black talent,” said Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of the NAACP. “To this day, Eddie Murphy’s work continues to bring joy and laughter to individuals around the world, and he is an amazing example of Black excellence, creativity, and artistry.”
The NAACP Image Awards will broadcast March 27 at 8 PM, ET on BET Networks.
