Drew Brees announces he will be working with NBC Sports after he retired from the NFL on Sunday

New York- Future Hall of Famer Drew Brees announced his retirement from the NFL on Sunday and on Monday he announced a new journey outside of football.

Brees has spent 20 seasons playing in the NFL, broke almost every record that you could imagine as a quarterback, uplifted a city during some rough times, and has won a Super Bowl. Outside of football, Brees has contributed to not just his community, but to different foundations to make this world a better place.

After Brees' decision on Sunday, he announced on Good Morning America that he will be working with NBC Sports and is very excited to be working with the organization.

"I am going to be working for NBC," Brees said. "I’m part of the team now! A good team."

"I'm excited about that journey, I'm excited to stay very closely connected to the game of football. It's been such an important part of my life, and I continue to be able to talk about it, show passion for it and bring my kids around for that ride there as well and let them be part of some of those special moments," Brees said.
