Dolphins add arcade in their stadium
One of the most premier stadiums in all of sports just did something drastically different from other sporting venues around the country and went retro.
Hard Rock Stadium will now boast a brand new arcade, jam-packed with over 50 fan favorites from the ’80s and ‘90s thanks to gaming company “Arcade1Up”. The games include NBA Jam, Pac-Man, Mortal Combat, Star Wars, Street Fighter, and many more. One of the best parts about all of this is that no coins are needed! All of these games are free to the public that has a ticket on the club level. Even while fans are in the process of reaching new high scores, there are TVs placed around the arcade so you don’t miss too much of the real football game on the field. This new throwback fun feature will even be maintained routinely by Arcade1Up. Their owner Scott Bachrack was on site for today's unveiling. Bachrack stated, “Our arcade here at Hard Rock Stadium is the only one of its kind in the United States and we are proud of that, but we hope to expand to other NFL stadiums in the near future.“ Generation Z and Millennials may be asking “what about retro games for us?” Bachrack said, “PlayStation and Xbox games are something we are discussing as a company, but we are not sure if we will add them anytime soon.” Arcade1UP’s new arcade will only be open during Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes football games. No concert or other events will have access to this area.
