Dodgers will be partying like it is 1999 after defeating the Rays 3-1 and winning the World Series
Los Angeles- The Dodgers' offense comes alive late and gets the 3-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.
After a day off, the Dodgers looked a little sluggish in Game 6 of the World Series. The offense struggled to get base hits. In the top of the second, the Dodgers allowed the Rays to score, but after that the Dodgers' pitchers did not allow a hit in the early stages of the innings. In the sixth inning, LA got the Rays to retire Blake Snell after he allowed a hit up a middle to put the Dodgers in a potential game tying score.
Mookie Betts on the ensuing series, hit a double, which put runners on second and third base. The Dodgers scored on a Rays mishandle at the plate to tie the game, 1-1. Betts scored on the next hit by Corey Seager, which made it a 2-1 game in the bottom of the sixth. Betts hit a solo home run in the eighth to make it a 3-1 game. The homer by Betts iced the game and the Dodgers went on to win Game 6 and the World Series, 3-1.
