Dodgers take a 2-0 led series against the San Diego Padres
Los Angeles- Taking risks was what propel a victory for the Dodgers in the 6-5 win over the Padres in Game 2 of the NLDS.
Mookie Betts and Corey Seager decided that they were going to give the Dodgers a shot with providing some type of spark on the offensive side of the ball. Seager and Betts decided to be gutsy and stole bases after Drew Pomeranz threw his first pitch to Justin Turner. Those two stolen bases was what LA needed, because a few swings later, the Dodgers scored to put the game out of reach for the Padres.
“That’s definitely one of the better games I’ve been a part of,” Betts told Fox Sports afterward. “Obviously, it took two teams that are super familiar with each other. It was a battle. It’s kind of been like that all year. Can’t expect anything else in playoff time.”
The Dodgers come into Game 3 with a load of confidence and up 2-0 in the series. In Game 3, there will be a lot of defense, as well as the Padres being a little conservative with watching out for base stealing.
