DODGERS POP CHAMPAGNE AFTER DEFEATING SO CAL RIVAL PADRES 2-0…OUTSTANDING PITCHING IN BACK TO BACK DO OR DIE GAMES PROPEL LAD TO NLCS
Flawless pitching and a pair of home runs keep the Dodgers World Series hopes alive. Kike Hernandez hit a homerun in the bottom of the 2nd inning, and Teoscar Hernandez blasted one out of the park in the bottom of the 7th, sending the Boys in Blue to the NLCS. They will take on the NY Mets tomorrow on 10/13 at Dodger Stadium.
This is a chance for LA to make it to the World Series for the 1st time in 4 years. The atmosphere was electric as the Dodgers matched the energy produced by the fans at Chavez Ravine. Dodger pitching was outstanding as Yamamoto rose to the occasion as the LAD backs were against the wall in a due or die battle with their So Cal Rivals. Yamamoto led the way by mowing down several Padre batters. Los Angeles Dodger pitching shutdown Padre batters in 24 consecutive innings, which was the key in winning the series, and moving on to the NLCS to take on the New York Mets.
