With only two games left in the regular season, the Lakers were fighting for position. Prior to the loss to OkKC, the Lakers were attempting to maintain the third seed. All season long, the Lakers have had trouble stopping opponents in the second half and that was what happened last night. The big three in Reaves, Luka and Bron delivered and combined for 75 points, which is good, but their bench production was not seen nor heard late in the game.
For the most part, the game was pretty competitive until the fourth quarter. La had a tough time stop SGA as he racked up 42 points for the night. OKC went on a 39-22 run in the fourth, which left the Lakers' gassed. It seemed like OKC was getting to the rim with ease and LA had no answer. After it was all said and done, OKC literally told the world that they are in playoff mode. Even though the Lakers lost, the Lakers feel like they can make some noise in the playoffs. Other players have to stop up and bring the intensity, as well as making sure that they take care of the ball. LA currently sits in the third seed and if the playoffs started today, they would face the Warriors
