Danny Glover and Samuel L. Jackson will be honored at the 12th Governors' Awards
Representation of color will be honored, dished, and served at the 12th Governors' Awards March 25th. After Covid-19 shocked the city of Los Angeles and forced awards season to be postponed because Covid cases increased, awards season has officially returned.
Despite the unique month, planners have been busy adapting to change and making sure that the season of film is highlighted. This year, Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Glover, Elaine May, and Liv Ullmann will be recognized for their illustrious careers and the impact that they had in the entertainment field. "The Honorary Award, an Oscar statuette, is given “to honor extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of motion picture arts and sciences, or for outstanding service to the Academy", said an Academy representative.
The red carpet will be rolled out and greatness will reveal itself.
