Dallas Stars get first win in preseason play
With the start of the NHL season right around the corner, the Dallas Stars wanted to make sure that everything was aligned before the season started. Ina 2-1 victory over the Blues, they were content with the win but felt like they needed to improve.
The pace of the game was a pretty much grind it out type of game, with each team trying to figure each other out. There were many saves more than any offensive life until the second period. Dallas scored, which opened their offense a bit up. It seemed like after the goal, the players for the Stars started to relax a bit instead of being tense. After the Blues scored, Dallas came right back out and put the finishing touches on the game in the third period.
In the victory, Dallas did not have any power plays in which is something that they want to improve on as well as take advantage of the face offs. In this game they had 37 to the Blues 19.
