D'Andre Swift had a big game against the Vikings in a 34-28 victory


With a career high in carries, D’Andre Swift had an extremely productive evening. Not only did Swift accumulate 175 rushing yards, but he added 1 touchdown and 3 receptions. The Philadelphia Eagles defense caused 4 turnovers (4 fumbles) that ultimately were the difference in the game against Minnesota tonight. Philadelphia kept the time of possession in their favor, possessing the football 39 minutes and 28 seconds of the entire game.


The Vikings did score an early touchdown in the 2nd quarter on a 5-yard pass from Kirk Cousins to Tight End T.J. Hockenson. The Eagles then mounted 24 unanswered points to take a 27 to 7 lead with 10:54 left in the 3rd quarter. The Eagles’ offense was an unstoppable force this evening on pass attempts by Jalen Hurts that went 18 of 23 completions with 193 total yards and 1 touchdown.


DeVonta Smith added an impactful night as well scoring 1 touchdown with 131 yards on 4 receptions. Philadelphia improves to 2-0 and will travel for an upcoming nationally televised game again next Monday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Minnesota did manage to captivate a comeback, but the effort was not enough as the Vikings fell by 6 points. The Vikings will host the Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday desperate to get in the win column.
