Colorado's offense takes a beaten, handed by UCLA 28-16
The Buffaloes have had a rough stretch these last few games and was looking to bounce back with a win against the Bruins. Prior to the game, Coach Prime was asked, what were the key factors with pulling out a victory over UCLA and he stated that the O-line would have to stand their ground and take care of their quarterback, as well as wanted to get their offense moving out fast.
Colorado had to like what they were able to do in the first six minutes of the first quarter. They scored two field goals and Travis Hunter picked off Ethan Garbers twice. Surprisingly, their defense held their water and held UCLA to a touchdown with a total of 222 yards at the half. Coming out of the half, Coach Prime wanted his O-Line to hold up, so Shedeur Sanders can get the ball to his playmakers. Sanders only had 98 yards through the air and was trying everything in his power not to get tackled within two seconds of him holding onto the ball.
UCLA came out the gate and punched the Buffaloes in their horns with a touchdown in three plays. You would think that UCLA would run Colorado off the field, but Colorado stuck through the growing pains and made it a game. Sanders was taking a beaten in the two quarters. It seemed like each down, his teammates were picking him off the ground, because the Bruins was putting the heat on him. Colorado's fight was there but too much of UCLA's running tore them down as they went on to lose.
