Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula eliminated from Olympic women's doubles
The quest for Gold or medaling at the Olympics for both Coco Gauff and Jesica Pegula has ended.
Gauff and Pegula were one of the favorites to medal at the Olympics, but disaster struck both players as they fell 2-6, 6-5, and 10-5 in a tie breaker. The Americans had to dig themselves out of a whole early on but kept overcoming adversity Gauff should American pride as she helped her teammate with a couple of winners and backhands that had the crow on their feet
However, too much power shots from Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova had both the Americans on their heels in the tie breaker round and eventually they were not able to get the win. Even though they lost the battle on the court, they won the hearts around America
