Clemson tackle Blake Miller is on the Outland Trophy watch list

Blake Miller has been named one of 75 candidates on the watch list for the Outland Trophy, presented each year to the nation's top interior lineman on offense or defense by the Football Writers Association of America.

As an offensive tackle, Blake Miller is a type of old-school, throwback offensive tackle that we don't see very often anymore. It is true that many of the penalties that linemen are called for can adversely affect aggressive tackles, but Miller does a good job of staying within the limits while still imposing his will on defenders. There is no doubt that Clemson is in for a very unique year by their standards, but Miller, not only for the Tigers but for all of college football, will be a must-watch along the offensive line.
