Clemson is excited to play in BIG Game this weekend
Today I attended the Clemson press conference. All the players are pumped and ready for a second chance to keep their season alive. Quarterback Cade Klubnik said he was upset after the loss, but after finding out that Syracuse pulled the upset over Miami, he looked at it as "God opened another door and that he and the team have to take the opportunity and walk through it".
All-ACC defensive end T.J. Parker feels like the team learned a lot facing South Carolina dual threat quarterback LaNorris Sellers last week. They face a similar QB in SMU's Kevin Jennings. Parker simply stated, "We just have to finish the play".
The mood at the press conference was one of determination and optimism, as the players expressed their eagerness to seize the new opportunity presented to them. There was a palpable sense of focus and readiness among the team, with each player emphasizing their commitment to improving and executing their game plan. The atmosphere was charged with a mix of excitement and resolve, as the team prepared to face their upcoming challenge.
An automatic postseason bid is significant because it guarantees the team a spot in the playoffs, regardless of their overall record. This provides Clemson with a clear path to compete for a championship. This offers them a chance to redeem their season and showcase their talents on a larger stage. Securing this bid would not only boost team morale but also reinforce their reputation as a formidable contender in college football.
