Clemson defeated No. 20 California 69-58

Loyal McQueen had 18 and 14 points from Mia Moore in a victory over California

The Tigers went on a 7-0 run in the third quarter and Anya Poole got the party started. She hit a three-point play in the third quarter and made it 47-42.  In the fourth quarter, Moore scored the first seven points of a 12-0 run to take a 61-46 lead entering the 4th.

Despite a 7-0 run early in the fourth, the Golden Bears were unable to cut the deficit to single digits.

Tessa Miller added 11 points for the Tigers and Raven Thompson had 10 off the bench. Clemson scored 23 points off 15 Cal turnovers and only had 10 turnovers for five points.

Ioanna Krimili had 18 points for the Golden Bears and Ugonne Onyiah added 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Marta Suarez had 12 points.

Clemson's victory was largely due to their effective defense, which forced 15 turnovers and capitalized by scoring 23 points off those mistakes. Additionally, the Tigers maintained a disciplined offense with only 10 turnovers, minimizing opportunities for Cal to close the gap. Their ability to execute decisive runs, particularly in the third and fourth quarters, demonstrated their offensive prowess and resilience under pressure.
