Clemson bounces back in a W over Virginia Tech

Clemson defeats Virginia Tech 24-14 on Saturday behind three touchdown passes from Cade Klubnik.   The Clemson Tigers were able to bounce back from their home loss to Louisville with a great performance by their defense, which held Virginia Tech to a season-low 228 yards in the game and remain in the hunt for the ACC title despite a loss to Louisville with Captain Cade's arm.  Clemson also beat Virginia Tech for the seventh straight time.

Klubnik completed 16 of 34 passes for 211 yards on his way to the victory.  He added 30 yards rushing.  A total of 378 yards were gained by the Tigers, led by 128 yards rushing by Phil Mafah.

The Tigers' dominant defense bounced back today after the loss to Louisville.  Clemson’s defense allowed 7.8 yards per carry. But the Hokies managed just 1.9 yards per carry and turned the ball over three times. They were 2 for 14 in third-down situations.

Cade Klubnik has been instrumental in Clemson's offensive success this season, consistently showcasing his ability to lead the team with his strong arm and quick decision-making. Throughout the season, he has demonstrated significant growth, improving his accuracy and poise under pressure in each game. His performances have been a key factor in keeping the Tigers competitive in the ACC race.
