Clark breaks another record

It was an excellent night for Caitlin Clark as she became the first WNBA player ever to reach 100 3-pointers in a season in the fastest time possible and finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for her second career triple-double in the 93-86 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday night as the Indiana Fever headed to the playoffs. Alyssa Thomas, Courtney Williams, Sabrina Ionescu and Candace Parker are the other four WNBA players to have posted multiple triple-doubles during a season, as she is the first rookie to do so.

The Fever secured a playoff spot Monday night after Atlanta and Chicago lost. NaLyssa Smith added 13 points. Aliyah Boston scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds tonight. For the first time since 2015, Indiana has won five straight and is 10-1 at home since June 1. Kelsey Mitchell added 18 points for Indiana, two points shy of her eighth straight 20-point game. Some light needs to be shined on Mitchell. She has had an outstanding year unfortunately it is going under the radar. Often serving as the team's top scorer and providing crucial points in tight games, Kelsey Mitchell has been an offensive powerhouse for the Fever. As a versatile threat on the court, she can score from beyond the arc and drive to the basket. Furthermore, Mitchell's experience and leadership have been invaluable in guiding the younger players and maintaining the team's momentum.

With a total of 20 points, Odyssey Sims led Los Angeles in scoring. Both Dearica Hamby and Rae Burrell scored 16, and Azura Stevens had 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Sparks have lost five in a row on the road and 15 of 17 away from home this season
