Chloe Bailey and Questlove honored at the 13th annual Root Hundred

The 13th annual Root One Hundred event at the Apollo theater, which was hosted by comedian Loni Love celebrated black excellence in social justice, politics, business and more. Love set the mood for the night with engaging jokes, as well as using the platform to highlight positive contributions that Chloe Bailey and Questlove has done for their respective communities.

Both artists used their time in different ways to highlight awareness. Bailey talked about woman empowerment, while Questlove talked about the world burning and eroding. Each delivery was spot on and left the audience in a series of deep thoughts. After each artist finished, Love had some impactful words for the future of the culture and left with a mic drop outro.
