Chicago came up short against the Fever

For the first time this season, the Clark and Reese rivalry happened in the pros. We all know the competitive history between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. While the storyline was going to be about Reese and Clark, Kamilla Cardoso was back in the line-up for the Chicago Sky for her pro debut.

Cardoso made an immediate impact for the Chicago Sky as she had a couple offensive rebounds that helped her team score off of second chance opportunities. Outside of that, she had six points before she went back to bench, which was a huge sign for Sky fans in the first half. The game in itself was a grind it out game. Reese was not much effective until late in the fourth. She hit a couple of big buckets to help her team cut the Fever's lead to two. With under two minutes left and down two possessions, Chicago needed to stiffen their defense to stop the Fever from extending their lead and needed to score a quick bucket. Chicago went on an 8-2 run to put pressure on Fever.

Down by two, with 10 seconds left in the game, Chicago had a chance to tie the game with free throws, but missed a crucial free throw. They ended up losing in a thriller, 71-70. Reese finished the game with 8 points, and 13 rebounds.
