Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett tied for Entertainer of the Year at 55th ACMs

New York- For the first time in Academy of Country Music Awards, two artists tied for the Entertainer of the Year award.

Confusion set in for everyone at the award show when Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett tied for the Entertainer of the Year award. A lot of viewers were upset that it was a tie and felt like the ACM was sexist towards Underwood. However, Rhett and Underwood handled the tie like pros and thanked their families, ACMs, and talked about the importance of staying safe through the pandemic. Underwood broke history with being the first woman to win three Entertainer of the Year Awards.
