Carlos Hyde: Reasons he decided to come to Jacksonville
Jacksonville, FL- Newly acquired running back Carlos Hyde talked about why he wanted to be apart of the Jaguars organization in a press conference on Monday.
Hyde, who has had a decent NFL career, decided that he wanted to take his talents to Jacksonville during the 2021 NFL Free agency. Hyde felt like he could help the young team excel and he also bought into what Jaguars head coach Urban Myers was bringing to the table.
"We won a lot of games at Ohio State. So, you take Coach Meyer’s record, the places he’s been, he’s won a lot. So, that’s one thing when I look at it as winning, and that’s what we’re all here for, it’s to win. So, that’s what persuaded me to come back to Jacksonville, because I know Coach Meyer. He wants to win and he’s going to figure out how to win and I want to win, so I would love to be with Coach Meyer once again and go win with him.”
Hyde has not had a productive season since he was with the Houston Texans in 2019 and is determined to compete for the starting role. It will be interesting to see how everything pans out with Hyde returning to Jacksonville.
