Career high 6 touchdowns from Williams leads USC over Colorado 48- 41

USC took a commanding 34 to 14 lead at halftime, but the Trojans would find out that Colorado showed grit and a sense of fight in the second half. The Buffalos would score 27 total points in the second half including 14 unanswered points in the 4th quarter, but it could not hold off USC allowing a total of 48 points. USC quarterback Caleb Williams passed for 403 yards on 30 of 40 completions and a career high 6 touchdowns. Williams' efficient performance led to a balanced distribution of passes to 10 total receivers.

Colorado impressively totaled 564 yards with 193 rushing yards. In their first matchup with USC under head coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, the Buffalos showed encouraging moments throughout the game. “If you can’t see what’s coming with CU football, you’ve lost your mind. You’re just a flat-out hater. If you can’t see what’s going on and what’s going to transpire over the next several months, something’s wrong with you,” Coach Prime emphasized during the post-game conference. USC now improves to 5-0 and impressively has shown the potential of competing for the Pac-12 championship and possibly the College Football Playoffs. The Trojans will host the Arizona Wildcats next Saturday looking to start the Pac-12 season with a record of 4-0. Colorado looks to regroup and will travel to Tempe, AZ to face the Arizona State Sun Devils.
