Candace Parker grabs 2020 WNBA Defensive Player of The Year Award

Los Angeles- Candace Parker wins the 2020 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Los Angeles Sparks' forward Candace Parker has earned the right to be called Ms. Defensive Player of the Year. Parker finished the season strong with getting her team in position to make a deep playoff run, but the Washington Mystics shocked LA and defeated them in the first round of the playoffs.

Despite having her playoff run cut short, Parked had a monster season this year. Parker averaged a League high in rebounds a game, which was 8. Parker recorded 1.23 blocked shots, and 1.8 steals in 22 games. On the offensive side of the ball, Parker averaged 14.7 points per game. Parker did it all and has paid off well.
